Serotek's Accessible Event™ makes meetings, lectures, and webinars instantly accessible to all, including those with visual or hearing impairments.
Using a simple process similar to setting up a conference bridge, presenters create an account for an event, and an invitation with a meeting code is sent to participants.
Participants, presenters and captioners simply visit http://AccessibleEvent.com/ from the browser of any computer or portable device, enter the meeting code, and the meeting becomes instantly accessible. Those with visual impairments will be able to participate in Accessible Event using any computer, cell phone or PDA equipped with speech or Braille. For those with hearing impairments, you may hire a captioner to attend the meeting, and captions of what is being spoken by the presenter will be visible to any participant who chooses to view it.
Accessible Event works with presentations in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Adobe, WebEx, GoToMeeting, Connect, and other meeting programs. If you don't currently use another meeting program, Accessible Event also works well as a stand-alone service for all attendees.
The Accessible Event product requires no installation. Users need only an internet connection and Adobe Flash to participate. Since no installation is required, nothing is left behind on the presenter's or participants' computer at the conclusion of the event.
